Cowan Recreation Centre fieldhouse (RBJ Schlegel Park)
Kitchener is adding a major indoor soccer venue at RBJ Schlegel Park. The Cowan Recreation Centre fieldhouse is a FIFA-sized artificial turf surface that can be split into four separate fields, so several small-sided games or practices can run at the same time. The grand opening is scheduled for Saturday, November 14, 2026.
Once it opens, the fieldhouse should suit teams looking for winter training space and groups that want a regular indoor game. Space rentals are requested through the City's facility request form. Until your group is set up, Waterloo City FC's leagues and pickup soccer are an easy way to keep playing through the colder months.
How to book
Space rental requests via the City's facility request form (facility opening Nov. 14, 2026).
